Gawky Photos or Lack of Photos Inspiring the "Who I Am" Project

Do you have many photos of yourself during the "Tween" years? I know I do not. Mostly what I find in the boxes of printed photos from those years are school photos, either my whole class or you know the one, that head and shoulders pose with the cheesy grin and bangs that were too short. Babies are so cute, new, and chubby. Toddlers have those big, bright eyes, and let's face it, they just do the darnedest things. Then, fast forward to the Senior Year and Senior Photos and the excitement of College! But those tween ages are often forgotten. At ages 9-12, kids aren't children anymore but aren't quite teens. I know the age of the "selfies" is here as well with all the social media platforms. Whether or not your Tween has the latest and greatest iPhone, posts on TikTok and Instagram, positive quotes and feedback from parents or relatives, friends, coaches, and teachers, paired with professional photos will make such an important impact during this time in your child's life. I'm making it my personal mission to capture those lost preteen years. The goal is to help tweens look and feel beautiful and have unshakable confidence in themselves when they hit junior high. In comes the "Who I am" Project I am starting the "Who I am" Photography Project to fill in the forgotten photo years while enriching the lives of pre-teens. The main goal is to make pre-teens look and feel beautiful and handsome and confident in who they are. I want to showcase their interests, whether it's horses, love their pets, or if they have a love of other sports or the arts. Who I am looking for I am looking for female or male models for my photography project, ages 9-12. I will ask the model and their parents a few questions, then combine the text and photographs to create impactful pieces of art. Why "Who I am"? I want to capture the personality of these tweens and record the last stage of their childhood before they become young ladies and gentlemen. I want them to realize their true beauty so that they are confident in themselves before they hit Junior High. Imagine the impact of seeing themselves in stunning images, boosting their self-confidence! I was not a Professional Photographer when my own kids were at this stage, and honestly wish I could go back and give them this gift. My daughter had a lot of issues with self-confidence that led to some very rough years. My son also struggled with his identity and feeling confident. Therefore, I want to do this photography project with my new skills to help other tweens BEFORE they hit Junior High. Before all of those tough years come around. How to participate or nominate a friend: Please e-mail me by Monday, February 13th if you are interested in having your child participate in this project, or if you would like to nominate a friend or family member of yours that you think would be perfect for this. Please nominate people you think would enjoy the experience I provide that are within my area or willing to travel to me within my area. The session itself is complimentary. My goal is to create a gorgeous group of photos you’ll love and that truly show your daughter or son’s spirit and soul! Many people like to use these photos as birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day and “just because” gifts. I will have my normal Packages available to purchase as well as a slimmed-down Package just for this Project that starts at $300. However, no purchase is necessary to participate. After you email me, I will send you specific details and you can decide if this project is perfect for your son or daughter.
